Stag Coffee and Kitchen open

Business was brisk at the opening last weekend of Canterbury’s newest dining experience – Stag Coffee and Kitchen, located at the St Margaret’s Street end of the Marlowe Arcade.

Hundreds came along to enjoy the opening event on Saturday which featured a live DJ as well as free giveaways and food sampling.

Stag is an independent, family-run business serving speciality coffee and food sourced from local producers. Customers can enjoy a variety of tasty, healthy brunch dishes, coffee, juices and deli items. What’s more, they will have a calendar of events throughout the year, including live music, food challenges, comedy nights and more.

Manager Freddie Hewett says: “We are delighted to be opening a new Stag outlet in Whitefriars. We are coffee lovers at heart, and ours is roasted in small batches so all coffees are served at their freshest. From our delicious sandwiches and homemade quiches to our scrumptious cakes and gooey brownies, all of our food is made by us in house or sourced from local businesses. At Stag, we pride ourselves on offering great customer service with options to suit everyone’s tastes, including gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, dairy free and more. If you can’t see it, just ask our team!”

Highlights of food at Stag include delicious brunch options, a selection of fresh items from the deli, a full dedicated vegan menu, as well as a variety of burgers on their lunch menu, including The Stag Burger, Cajun Cock-a-Doodle Oink and The Vegan Burger.
